Everyday I make my way through the streets of your town
This is the single of The Go-Between's Streets of Your Town. The group formed in Brisbane, Austrailia and have been jangle rock contributors ever since. This is one of their most popular singles and has been covered by a few artists/bands as well. Nothing sounds as good as this original version though. Fantastic songwriting skills and pleasant guitar sounds make this group a fabulous listen.
"...formed in Brisbane, Australia in 1977 by singer-songwriters and guitarists, Robert Forster and Grant McLennan. They were later joined by Lindy Morrison on drums, Robert Vickers on bass guitar and Amanda Brown on violin, oboe, guitar, and backing vocals, before disbanding in late 1989. Forster and McLennan reformed the band in 2000 with a new line-up, McLennan died on 6 May 2006 of a heart attack and The Go-Betweens disbanded again." - WikiPedia
RIP Grant McLennan. Your glorious contribution to The Go-Betweens will never be forgotten. Thank you for sharing your wonderful words and music with the world.
