Ministry - With Sympathy (1983)

You've got to work for love...
Incredible new wave release from Metal/Industrial group Ministry (pre metal/industrial era). Their turn around startles me. I'm quite the fan of their heavier stuff, such as The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste, and the live album, "In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing up." Complete 180 from their Depeche Mode influenced debut from 1983. Anyone who appreciates synth pop and new wave will get a real joy out of this. Al Jourgensen may not approved of this release. He apparently doesn't include it in Ministry's discography!

"Jourgensen has always expressed disappointment with Ministry's music during those early years, reportedly referring to With Sympathy as an "abortion of an album." According to him, after signing the record contract, all artistic control of Ministry was "handed" over to other writers and producers.[3] Some of his preferred recordings from that era were collected into the CD Early Trax (Rykodisc Records, 2004)." - Wikipedia

It's not that bad, Al! I think it's great. You do Chicago proud.
After giving 12 Inch Singles a listen you can easily see the transformation to industiral and metal era. Standout tracks include, Work For Love, I Wanted to Tell Her, & Effigy. Very fun, you'll probably dance your hot arse off.
