Brian Eno and David Byrne - My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts (1980)

No lawsuit will bring us down! We Will find a way!

This is the bootleg copy of Brian Eno and David Byrne's, "My Life in the Bush of Ghosts." Unofficial release with the original mixes of all tracks and featuring the Kathryn Kuhlman voice samples on track 2 intact. The official release was delayed because Kuhlman's estate sued to have her voice removed and won. This release claims to be "First Edition" as well as "Promotional Copy" which is patently absurd as it's clearly a bootleg. The sound quality is quite good, however. - from discogs website

Anyone familiar with this album will easily notice the differences between the two copies. The main one being Kathryn Kuhlman's voice on track 2 which was never featured on the OFFICIAL release. I can't help that every time I hear this album I think of Wall Street. America is Waiting is probably one of my favorite tracks on the album, along with Mea Culpa. But the whole album is great to listen to, a trip in itself.  One of the coolest things I've seen/heard this year was a Talking Heads cover band, This Must be The Band (who are great btw) do a cover of America is Waiting. They did an amazing job. Perhaps it was dedicated to Charlie Sheen.
