Josef K - Young and Stupid (2002 Reissue)

Edinburgh lads

Scottish post-punkers 2002 reissue of their 1987 compilation album, "Young and Stupid." A jittery, artsy post-punk collection of feel good energy. If you're a fan of Talking Heads, Orange Juice, even Wire I'd recommend this. Although the group is no more, they have gone off to do other fabulous projects. Guitarist, Malcolm Ross "went off to join Orange Juice, and also spent time with fellow Scots Aztec Camera. Haig began a solo career, eventually working with such talents as Alan Rankine, Billy Mackenzie, Cabaret Voltaire, and Mantronix. Weddell and Torrance were part of the Happy Family with Nick Currie (better known as Momus)." -allmusic guide
So many great tracks, each one different. It's a feel good compilation that gives a great introduction to such an underrated group. I love the airy jangle pop riffs combined with post-punk aesthetics. Feels appropriate to play on a sunny afternoon with the windows open. Totally makes those damper sad feelings vanish.
