If this is the stuff dreams are made of...no wonder I feel like I'm floating on air...
Here's some heavy 80s goth rock for ya! One of my moody genres. Sometimes I crave it like a cup of joe. Other times, I can do without it...but on this surprisingly warm spring evening, with the weekend approaching, I'm feeling kind of angsty and dark. I love this album to bits. I worked a few overnight shifts at Borders Bookstore (RIP) back in the day, and this was my "stocking the shelves" music. Every track is pure goth amazement, with a twist of new wave and minimal synth. Second Skin is one of the most beautiful tracks I've ever heard. Up The Down Escaltor feels like it can be straight out of the Breakfast Club soundtrack. Especially the chorus! Makes me want to get up and dance in my chair. This English group has a few albums out. I believe this was their first. Killer debut! Also "Strange Times" is another good follow up. I hope you enjoy it!
