The Bats - Daddy's Highway (1987)

up and down and all through the town.

Some wonderful kiwi rock for you all. The bats are huge contributors to the New Zealand music scene. The Bats were formed in Christchurch in 1982 by ex-Clean bassist Robert Scott, ex-Toy Love bassist Paul Kean, singer/multi-instrumentalist Kaye Woodward, and drummer Malcolm Grant. Their jangly busy guitar work attains that New Zealand sound. It's more looser sounding guitar work, slightly more mellow, but the songs still can easily get stuck in your head. This is The Bats first full length album which was released in 1987.
