North Carolina Jangle Pop
Excellent album by one of the finest jangle pop acts of the 80's. Each song is sugary power pop anthems that emulate the 1980's alternative rock scene. Like This is the group's third studio album but you can purchase their first two, Stands for Decibels/Repercussion, on one cd. All their albums are amazing. This one is a little more mainstream and has a different tonality than their first two. All classics in their own regard. The bandmembers were Peter Holsapple, Christ Stamey, Will Rigby and Gene Holde. This particular album does not have Stamey on it. He left the group after their second album to focus on a solo career. I'll definitely post their first album soon since it's one of the finest jangle pop albums of all time. Stamey really had an impact on the band's early sounds but the other members were still able to maintain catchy, fun, power pop gems.
